When preparing for visitation Far Eastern churches I realized that I was going not only to participate in services but solve different complicated questions. The trip figured as an important event in the spiritual background therefore I needed prayer support so much. I understand that God has His plan and especial knowledge for the ministry in Far East. This region has more evangelical churches than orthodox ones. It gives signals that God will accomplish His work and that there are many people He defined to be saved. It was important to me to reproduce that comprehension and knowledge God had given into my heart.
This is what I tried to do on meeting pastors, services, conferences, opening the house of prayer. I spoke about the special plan God has for opening new churches, missionary work, evangelizations. Far East is a fertile field for it. But to carry it out we need intercession prayers that God might destroy the strongholds which the devil had succeeded to sow during our inaction: conflicts between churches, rejection of relations between pastors and churches, unwillingness to start joint projects, tendency to advance on one's own apart from others.
At the time of visit I was given an opportunity to make appointments to see the Deputy Mayors of Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur. I introduced to them the work of the Russian Church and its social area. Also those appointments were attended by pastors of several evangelical churches. I dare say that we had constructive talks.
I felt both presence of God and spiritual struggle that time but I returned home with a sense of fulfilled duty as I managed to impart what God expected. I hope that the plan of God will come true in the nearest future. God wants to rouse local brothers and sisters to use them for manifestation of gifts of the Holy Spirit in order that His glory may occur amongst nations inhabiting Far East. I foresee spiritual awakening and especial movement.
I thank prayer men and intercessors, brothers and sisters, who were supporting me in prayers during this trip. I would like you to pray for me further and also for ministers in that region, for the edifying of the body of Christ so that all people who live in darkness may see the light through the church ministry.
The Deputy of the Head Bishop of the Russian Church of Evangelical Christians Vasily Evchik
